I have a Husqvarna Viking 18 X 8 Mega Quilter with an Imperial frame. While I do have a stitch regulator to ensure even stitches on my work, I do not use a computerized system. All of my work is done freehand. If you have a quilt top you’d like to have professionally quilted, I can do that. If you’d like to complete the quilt yourself, I’ll teach you to use my machine and rent it by the hour.
Instruction includes attaching the quilt pieces to the frame and how to use the machine. The rate for instruction is $50 per hour, minimum 1 hour, billed by the half hour after that. If you start with a full size quilt, the instruction should be between an hour and an hour and a half. Bigger quilts will take longer.
The rental rate after you are confident using the machine yourself is $25 per hour.
These rates do NOT include thread or batting. Your backing should be assembled before you arrive unless other arrangements are made.
